Breakfast at hotel. Enjoy scenic travel to the summit of Pikes Peak. Journey through dense stands of Colorado blue spruce & Ponderosa pines. See cascading streams, mountain wildlife and spectacular views of Pikes Peak & the Collegiate Range. Arrive at the Garden of the Gods for lunch on the terrace while a Native American dancer performs traditional dances. See the film, “How Did Those Red Rocks Get There?” & take a guided tour here where the red sandstone formations tell a unique geological story. Dinner in area.
Breakfast at hotel. Tour Royal Gorge Bridge & Park - one of Colorado’s most spectacular attractions. Cross the world’s highest suspension bridge - at a height of 1,053 ft - by foot or on trolley, ride the world’s steepest incline railway to the bottom of the canyon or glide across the gorge on an aerial tramway. Board the Royal Gorge Train for a 2 hr excursion. Check in to Hampton Inn, Alamosa, CO for one night. Dinner at San Luis Valley Brewing Co.
Breakfast at hotel. Ride the rails of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad - America’s most authentic steam rail traveling through the twists & turns of the San Juan Mountains crossing the Colorado-New Mexico border eleven times. Lunch in Osier. Check into the Doubletree Hotel in Durango, CO.
Breakfast at hotel. All aboard the Durango & Silverton Railroad, voted one of the top train jouneys in the world. Ride over the same tracks miners, cowboys & settler of the old west took over a century ago through canyons and the remote wilderness of the San Juan National Forest. Scenic travel through the Red Mountain Pass. Check in to the Doubletree, Grand Junction, CO for one night. Dinner at the hotel.
Breakfast at hotel. Scenic travel to Aspen, CO, once an old silver mining town & now a year-round alpine resort with breathtaking mountain views. Marvel at autumn scenes splashed with brilliant golden aspen trees. Free time to discover downtown Aspen, featuring world class dining & unique shops. Enjoy scenic travel to Denver. Arrive at the historic and luxurios Brown Palace in downtown Denver. Dinner at the hotel.
