Shorten your winter by getting away to a piece of paradise! Fly off to the beautiful Florida Keys & Miami for some fun in the sun! The lush tropical climate combined with interesting attractions, fine cuisine and beautiful Floridian hotel properties are just the cure for cabin fever.  Gorgeous seascapes will unfold as you travel the Overseas Highway through Key Largo, Islamorada, Marathon, Big Pine Key and then on to Key West – the southernmost city in the continental United States. 

Day 1

Flight to Miami. Arrive at Marriott Key Largo, 2 nights. Dinner at resort. Watch sunset over beautiful Key Largo Bay from your Oceanview room.

Day 2

Breakfast. See live coral and tropical fish on a Glass Bottom Boat Tour. Free time to enjoy the Marriott Key Largo’s amenities and relax on the resort’s scenic, sandy beach. Dinner.

Day 3

Breakfast. Journey to Key West. Gorgeous seascapes unfold as you travel the Overseas Highway, considered the “main street” of the Keys, through Islamorada, Marathon and Big Pine Key ending in Key West, the southernmost city in the continental USA. Visit Theater of the Sea, a 17-acre tropical garden in Islamorada. See live performances featuring dolphins, sea lions and exotic birds. Box lunch. Arrive at the DoubleTree Key West for 2 nights. Dinner at La Trattoria Oceanside.

Day 4

Breakfast. Conch Train Tour of Key West to view historic architecture, charming homes, and tales of Spanish explorers, cigar barons and sponge magnets. Stop at Southernmost Point of USA. Guided tour of the Ernest Hemingway Home. Free time at Mallory Square’s famous Sunset Celebration.

Day 5

Breakfast. Enjoy the ocean views as you travel through the Keys. Discover Everglades Alligator Farm with thrilling alligator & wildlife shows and airboat nature ride. Refresh at Roberts Shake and Fruit Stand. Arrive at Marriott Hollywood Beach, 3 nights. Dinner at hotel.

Day 6

Breakfast. Spend the day enjoying the amenities of this oceanfront hotel including the beach and the famous Hollywood Beach Boardwalk. Dinner.

Day 7 

Breakfast. Tour Vizcaya Mansion, a subtropical interpretation of an 18th-century Italian villa featuring lavish interior furnishings and extensive Italian Renaissance gardens. Guided tour of Miami featuring Little Havana, Biscayne Bay & art deco of South Beach.

Day 8

Breakfast. Flight home.

American Classic Tours is based out of Chicago. Because many of our travelers are from the greater Chicagoland Area, all of our tours begin at one of Chicago’s airports. If you are from out of state or country, you can join us via a “land-only” tour package. A “land-only” tour is the exact same as our “all-inclusive” tour except it does not include airfare. Your tour director will meet you at your destination and lead you to meet the rest of the group on the first day of the tour.
