Free time in Traverse City. Travel to Mackinaw City & board a Shepler’s Ferry. View the Mackinac Bridge as you cross the straits to Mackinac Island. Step back into the 19th century where transportation is limited to horse & buggy, bicycle or foot. The Victorian atmosphere will enchant you from the moment you step off the dock. Horse drawn carriages will transport you to the world-famous Grand Hotel where we will check in for a 3-night stay. Relax on the large veranda that overlooks the Straits of Mackinac & formal gardens on the grounds. Indulge in the formal dinner at the Grand Hotel.
