Hampton Inn Minnetonka, MN

Our home away from home for the first two nights of the trip was at the Hampton Inn Minnetonka where we enjoyed comfortable accommodations and friendly service.

Guided Tour of MinneApolis and St. Paul

We started Day 2 of Mini-Mystery Tour with a guided tour of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul: Minnehaha Falls (made famous in Longfellow's "Hiawatha"), Summit Avenue's beautiful Victorian homes, the Cathedral of St. Paul, Minneapolis State Capitol, Guthrie Theater, and so much more.

Mid-Town Global Market in Minneapolis, MN

Time for lunch at the Mid-Town Global Market in Minneapolis. This international marketplace features food and gifts from across the globe, which reflects the increasing diversity of the population of the Twin Cities.

Mill City Museum in Minneapolis, MN

Minneapolis has a rich history in the milling industry. Our group visited the new Mill City Museum, once home to Gold Medal Flour. Here we saw a film on the history of Minneapolis, sampled fresh bread at the Baking Lab, and road the Flour Tower elevator tour. After this tour you will have a new appreciation for that bag of flour in your pantry!

Grease at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre

Grease is the word and our entertainment for the evening. We enjoyed a delicious meal and watched the professional production of this colorful musical.

Lake Pepin is the widest part of the Mississippi River. We cruised by the beautiful bluffs overlooking the river and the new marina of Lake City, MN - birthplace of water skiing.

Lark Toys in Kellogg, MN

Next stop was the fanciful world of Lark Toys - home to a collection of antique toys, giant hand-carved and hand-painted carousel, and an ice cream shoppe. Lark Toys makes wooden, educational toys for children. We relived our childhood with a ride on the carousel and a sweet ice cream treat.

National Eagle Foundation in Winona, MN

At the National Eagle Center located in Winona we attended an exclusive presentation on Bald Eagles - our National Symbol.

Holiday Inn Express in Winona, MN

Our final night hotel accommodations were at the Holiday Inn Express in beautiful Winona, MN.

Dinner at Signatures Restaurant In Winona, MN

Signatures Restaurant overlooking the golf course and the hills of Winona was our venue for a gourmet dining experience. The restaurant derives its name from its extensive collection of signed memorabilia from the likes of Elvis, The Beatles, BB King, Princess Diana, and many more celebrities.

Garvin Heights Scenic Overlook

We started Day 4 of our Mini-Mystery Tour with a quick stop at the scenic Garvin Heights Overlook of Winona. From this bird's eye view you can see the Mississippi River, downtown Winona, and the hills of Wisconsin.
