  • Historic village of Harper’s Ferry, WV, at confluence of Potomac & Shenandoah Rivers - site of John Brown’s    famous raid.
  • Arrive at Hampton Inn, Charles Town, WV.
  • Dinner in area.

Day 2

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Antietam National Battlefield, one of the most significant battles of the Civil War.
  • View majestic peaks of Seneca Rocks.
  • Arrive at Isaac Jackson Hotel, Elkins, WV.
  • Dinner.
  • American Mountain Theater.

Day 3

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Cass Scenic Railroad’s original steam-driven locomotive journey through the mountains of West Virginia
  • National Radio Astronomy Observatory - the world’s largest moving telescope atop the mountains & lunch.
  • Arrive at The Greenbrier Resort amidst the breathtaking mountains of West Virginia for two nights.   • The secret is out!  Tour the declassified Bunker at The    Greenbrier. Carved deep into the mountainside beneath the West Virginia Wing is an emergency Cold War fallout shelter that was a top secret U.S. government relocation facility for Congress.
  • Be pampered by Greenbrier’s luxurious amenities including   afternoon tea.

Day 5

  • Breakfast at The Greenbrier.
  • Free time in charming Lewisburg, WV.
  • Visit Tamarack featuring the “Best of West Virginia,”    handcrafts, fine arts & regional cuisine.
  • Ride through the vintage Exhibition Coal Mine where    guides are veteran miners. See the coal camp including    church, school & Mountain Homestead.
  • Arrive at Country Inn & Suites, Beckley, West Virginia.
  • Dinner in area.

Day 6

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Visit New River Gorge: view bridge, ride Hawks Nest State Park Aerial Tram & cruise on Jet Boat.
  • Arrive at Waterfront Marriott Hotel on the Monongahela River in Morgantown, WV.
  • Dinner in area.

  • Visit West Virginia University Art Museum
