Day 1

Flight to Newark, NJ. Scenic drive to Albany, New York. Arrive at the Hampton Inn Albany, for one night. Dinner in Albany.

Day 2

Breakfast. Guided tour of Albany driving by the NY State Capitol Building en route to Saratoga Springs. Guided tour of Saratoga Springs - an historic Victorian city known for its natural mineral springs & spas, American Revolutionary monuments, battlefields, and thoroughbred horse racing. View fall foliage on a scenic drive to the summit of Whiteface Mountain. Arrive at the High Peaks Resort for a two night stay in the charming mountain village of Lake Placid, NY. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 3

Breakfast. Guided tour of Lake Placid including the famous Olympic sites. Travel to the Olympic Village and enjoy stunning panoramic fall foliage views of the Andirondack Mountains and Lake Placid. Free time for lunch and shopping in downtown Lake Placid. Narrated boat cruise on pristine Lake Placid. Free evening in Lake Placid.

Day 4

Breakfast. Steamboat luncheon cruise on scenic Lake George. Arrive in Poughkeepsie, NY. The area’s natural beauty and proximity to New York City prompted wealthy families like the Astor’s and Vanderbilt’s to build palatial weekend homes nearby. Arrive at the Hilton Garden Inn Fish Kill, NY for three nights. Dinner.

Day 5

Breakfast. Guided tour West Point Military Academy. Free time in Cold Springs, NY. Guided tour of Boscobel Mansion. Dinner at Boscobel overlooking the Hudson River Valley.

Day 6

Breakfast. Visit the Franklin D. Roosevelt Home, gravesite, library & presidential museum in Hyde Park, NY. Guided tour of the Vanderbilt Estate overlooking the scenic Hudson River Valley. Dinner at Culinary Institute of America.

Day 7

Breakfast. All aboard a scenic fall foliage Amtrak train ride along mountain-lined banks of the Hudson River from Poughkeepsie to Penn Station, Manhattan, NYC. Free time at Rockefeller Center for lunch & shopping in NYC. Matinee performance on Broadway - show to be announced. Dinner at Carmine’s Restaurant. Arrive at the Sheraton Times Square in Manhattan, 1 night.

Day 8

Breakfast. Guided tour of New York City including Central Park, Fifth Avenue, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Broadway Theater District, Times Square, Lower Manhattan, Soho, Financial District, Wall Street and more. Flight home
