Day 1

Flight to Denver, Colorado. Arrive at Sheraton Denver Downtown for a two-night stay. Dinner.

Day 2

Breakfast. Guided Tour of Denver including Colorado State Capitol. Visit the Colorado Railroad Museum. Evening at leisure to enjoy Denver.

Day 3

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer for a two-day train excursion from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado to the Red Rock Country of Utah. Marvel at vast canyons, inspiring deserts, natural archways, and enchanting hoodoos. See Ruby Canyon, Mount Logan, Colorado River, Moffatt Tunnel and cross the Continental Divide. Breakfast and lunch served on the train. Enjoy Silver Leaf Plus Service with exclusive access to lounge car, elevated dining experience with an additional course during select meals, signature cocktails, and custom-designed glass-dome coaches with oversized windows and outdoor viewing area. Day 4

Enjoy spectacular scenery this morning aboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Glenwood Springs to Moab, Utah. Breakfast served on the train. Disembark train at mid-day in Moab. Arrive at Red Cliffs Lodge near Moab for 3~night stay. The Red Cliffs Lodge is situated perfectly amidst the classic, rugged Western landscape worthy of Hollywood, and was in fact the site of numerous films, including Rio Grande with John Wayne. Wine Tasting at the Ranch Winery. Dinner.

Day 5

Breakfast. Guided Tour of Arches National Park with lunch included. Dinner. Sound & Light evening boat cruise on the Colorado River—a unique experience featuring lights, shadows, music & narration.

Day 6

Breakfast. Guided Tour of Canyonlands National Park & Dead Horse State Park. Cowboy Steak Dinner at the ranch.

Breakfast. Scenic travel through remote, natural Utah. Arrive at Salt Lake City’s Mormon Temple Square for a guided tour. Lodging in Salt Lake City for a one night stay. Dinner at Roof Restaurant overlooking Salt Lake City.

Breakfast. Guided tour of Salt Lake City. Flight home.

American Classic Tours is based out of Chicago. Because many of our travelers are from the greater Chicagoland Area, all of our tours begin at one of Chicago’s airports. If you are from out of state or country, you can join us via a “land-only” tour package. A “land-only” tour is the exact same as our “all-inclusive” tour except it does not include airfare. Your tour director will meet you at your destination and lead you to meet the rest of the group on the first day of the tour.
